Let not forget who our team president is, and how Gantt believe Morrison is going to reach into the collegiate ranks

Bears defensive coordinator Ron Rivera, who has interviewed for nine head coach positions in the NFL over the past two years but landed none of them, will not return to Chicago.

That's a lot of interviews not to get the job.

Please no. I would rather keep fox and look for a really good offensive coordinator. If he wants to come here and be the D coordinator then hell yes. Fox was not the problem it has always been our offensive coordinators imo. Please go for an offensive coach for once.

It almost seems like the are in a hurry to get this out of the way. As in, interviewing him first, in case they want to hire the next guy right after his interview.

hmmmmmm.

Maybe Harbaugh would be willing to accept a OC position?

smh..The media just throws stuff out there..no facts

A league source tells Profootballtalk.com that the Panthers will interview Chargers DC Ron Rivera regarding their head coaching vacancy.

The meeting's date is unknown, but it's our first formal head-coaching interview of the "offseason." Rivera coordinated the NFL's No. 1 defense in 2010, despite a large amount of personnel change from the year before. The Panthers are targeting an NFL assistant as opposed to a college coach or retread head coach, most likely because of money. Also satisfying the Rooney Rule, Rivera shouldn't cost an arm and a leg to lure out of San Diego.

I have no problem with Rivera. Not my first choice, but he'd be a good option and better than Grimm.

That's why they spent all OTA's and most of the preseason trying 2 work on a passing game right?? Whatever the philosphy is sombody in the FO has 2 see that the changes made in this league benefit the passing game.

all of OTAs were spent on the passing game in an attempt to find legitimate receivers not named steve smith.

Shoot me now Harbaugh/Luck train fans, but I really wouldn't mind having Rivera as HC.

I'd rather have Harbaugh but I'd be OK with Rivera. If we get him though we really need to bring in a top OC.

Florio's headline makes it sound like it's already happening.

It isn't just yet, but no surprise that it will.
