He's trying to distract you from those other dumb threads he started earlier today.

I don't understand what's so different between his "athleticism" and any number of returners/raw receivers we could have had in the 4th and up rounds.

I agree

That hit he took in the pre-season put the fear of God in him. As a QB he was able to see the whole field and avoid a defender getting a solid shot on him. If he hasn't caught on yet as a WR or PR, he never will.

Just for the sake of playing devil's advocate - do we really know whether he's caught on yet? We had a HC who clearly wasn't happy with having him to begin with and an OC that was either too retarded or too pussified to stand up to the HC.

He may be a bust but there's an equal chance he's not and a coach with an open mind to him will tell us that for sure. Until then it's not really fair to label him.

*edit for clarification*

If he's good but doesn't live up to what we value the pick at then I do not think he's a bust. He's a bust if he never develops into anything at all and we just cut him or some poo.

In my eyes the guy is not NFL material and certainly not worth the price the Panthers paid. Really what has he done to earn a spot on a 2-12 team? If AE fell to us in round 6 (yes he would have) I would have felt better with the pick, but trading up to get him? He was great at App St but Jarrett was better than AE, no I didn't just say that!:yikes:

Not sure if you meant that to be sarcastic, but I would say I completely disagree.

My analogy is a high school football team. Do you really expect freshman to come in and play right away on varsity, let a lone play well? It takes time to learn the ways, get your body in the right shape, etc.

you were correct in your sense of the sarcasm
