Looks like San Diego defensive coordinator Ron Rivera is headed for a second interview today with the Carolina Panthers.

Yep! As long as he can pull in someone who has a good reputation with QBs (*cough* Ramsdell), we could have a pretty strong coaching staff.

We'll basically be poaching all the coaches from San Diego that make Turner look better than he really is :)

My point is McDaniels was Belicheks puppet. Anywhere in any capacity McDaniels is hired Belichek won't be their pulling the strings.

People don't understand that New England is a machine as long as The Hoodie is coaching.

pretty exciting day. unless Rivera pees his pants during the second interview i would expect an announcement tomorrow or Tuesday.

maybe they'll have the presser Monday and then sit down to watch Newton play that night.

Yeah maybe if San Diego had made it to the playoffs and maybe if Chicago and Philadelphia advance past the first round of the playoff's.

You seem to think that because a coach's team doesn't make the playoffs/loses in the first round, the coach is willing to let everyone on his coaching staff go. If that was the case, only 1 coaching staff would remain intact every season. For some reason, I've got a hunch that that's not the case.

Sounds like a plan to me!

Great, Rivera can coach the team and cut the grass at BOA.

Killing two birds with one stone.

If we're this confident I say go ahead and hire him and start putting the staff together.

i think i'm more interested in seeing who we get as an OC and QB coach. both of these hires are supposed to be big deals.

Thumbs up. Though I would still like Ryan just for the lulz.

Rivera could always use a DC/asst. head coach, right?
