Well, I'm guessing they may have something signed by the end of the day, press conference tomorrow...pending snowstorm conditions

If Jay Glazer is reporting it, I believe it.

I love Gantt's response to Elway's latest tweet

It's not where you play, it's who you play. RT @johnelway: Due to weather in NC, our interview with John Fox has been rescheduled for Wed.

Cautiously optamistic.

Rivera's Defensive ranking history with the Chargers:

2010 - #1
2009 - #16
2008 - #25 (he took over at the end of October)

So he's improved them every year. But stats can be deceiving. And how will he manage an offense? Will we go West-Coast?

yeah but defenses under him at chicago:

2004: 13
2005: 1
2006: 3

that was with his 4-3 scheme too, what we run.

i don't think the offense will have his stamp on it. listening to richardson's press conference i think the organization will make a decision on which direction to go with the offense. (remember richardson saying the panthers were too focused on what the coach wanted for too long, i.e. foxball conservative predictablity)

that being said, if he brings ramsdell with him from SD you can possibly expect some of the same principles of a norv turner type offense. aggressive running game, and multifaceted passing attack with elements of the WCO. but then again i don't know much at all about ramsdell so i could be wrong.

gantt is saying he thinks the OC is in hand (presuming rivera is an inevitability):

My sense is OC may already be secured. RT @adamsamore Here we go...hope they lock him up today so we can get started finding OC/DC

I was shocked when he didn't get a HC nod after his stint in Chicago. Maybe he does interview poorly as Fiz says.

He's always been a DC that never got talked about enough. Two top 2 defenses with two different teams? Come on, now.

Would seem to point to Ramsdell, no?
