Fox's next job

Recommended Posts

From what I read around the league John Fox is most likely the next candidate for the Denver Broncos HC job.

Listening to the Bronco fans talking on their forum, they are really looking forward to John Fox. I do not understand the league or the fans beleif that Fox is a great coach.

I even read where one guy said "I hope he brings his staff with him!" what???

Can anyone explain how this delusion has been brought about? Yes I understand we went to a superbowl. And yes, we accomplished 3 winning seasons in 9 years. But, I believe Fox and co are proven to not be a winning group.

Other than drug use, I can not fathom where this delusion comes from. Anyone want to shed some light on that or predict his W-L record next year with Denver?

Broncos fans also hated the coach some panther fans want as the OC.

You never know. Sometimes it's the 2nd job that gets these HC's going. Anyway, why are we worried about what Denver thinks? If they like Fox, more power to em.

Consider who they have had coaching for the last two years. You may understand why John Fox would be exciting then. He's about as different as you can get.

Fox is not a bad coach. There are better out there. But there a heck of a lot worse

i've said this before. Fox will have great success wherever he goes as head coach.

...for about 4 or 5 seasons.

He'll come in, make them a tough, disciplined, "back to fundamentals" team and they'll have success and winning records during that time.

Then, he'll start to lose the team. Fundamentals only get you so far, then the lack of creativity will kick in and the rest of the teams in the division will catch on and pass him by. Then he'll be let go again.

They've been force-fed this pro-Fox propaganda by people like Jay Glazer that constantly tell everyone how great a coach Fox is. So unless you're actually familiar with the Panthers and Fox's style of coaching, it makes sense that you would believe it.

Fox is a stable coach and seems like a solid choice for the Broncos, considering the past 2 years in Denver. I expect he and The Golden Calf of Bristol will be a fit too.

exactly. it got on our nerves, but the Broncos could use a heavy dose of "it is what it is" after all the crazy they've had going on for a few years.

They are welcome to Foxy and his staff. They get what they get.

The Golden Calf of Bristol, Davidson, and Fox should be fun to watch.
