If the right story was there...I wish someone would. That would be so freaking awesome. But I imagine that Bungie/MS are waiting for someone to actually write a good script so we don't end up with another super mario brothers movie...

Pretty much the best summary of what's happening on the movie. It's been in talks of making for over a year now and Peter Jackson was already on board w/ heavy props/scenes already produced.

I believe Fox was the backbone of this project but decided to back out. Why? No one has ever really given/received an answer to that.

Also IMDB has a 2012 release date.
