Yes, but yours is laughable.

The wait and see approach is the only approach that any reasonable football fan would make right now.

Clearly mine is an exaggeration. And Jimmy will have my support for as long as he plays for us. I just don't think he has what it takes, and that is based on more than just one year in the NFL. Obviously I don't know that he is a bust. I'm just pretty certain.

Yeah I think I'm used to this large monitor, and I forget others are viewing at a smaller resolution.

Bust city.

Can we agree when/if Clausen is given another chance and he sucks some more, these "knowledgeable" people are full of it and actually don't know a damn thing?

There are two types of people on this board.

Those who know for sure that Clausen is a bust.

And those with actual football knowledge.

These two traits cannot exist in the same person.

Plain and simple, the jury is still out on Clausen. No one knows what he is capable of within a legit NFL offense and adequate coaching. To pretend otherwise just makes you look like a football ignoramus.

In another year when he still stinks can we bump this thread and have you apologize?

Given our horid OL play and God Awful OC play calling, I agree the jury is still out.

Given the Qb's in this draft, I hope we sign a vet and let Clausen be the #2...allowing him to develop further.

I don't know that Pickles will be able to beat out Moore for the starting job (assuming he comes back).

Get a vet and start Clausen and still draft a QB early if talent permits.

Clausen needs a solid chance. Last year he was thrown out there and played teams who knew what we were doing 99% of the time. Constant bland, predictable plays. It wasn't only the coaching but the team lacked anybody that could help Jimmy out. One thing if for sure Jimmy is tough, he took a lot of poo this year and played the last game, close to Carrs level and doesn't appear to be having a melt down. He still deserves a solid chance.

how about JON GRUDEN as OC and QB COACH since GRUDEN is a QB expert why not talk to him about coming an coaching clausen and the other qb we have.HE sure will teach him how to prepare in the NFL and how to think quickly like if he is throwing the ball don't tak to many steps back and learn how to get rid of the ball like one thosand two onethosand three onethousand and ball gone or tuk it in and run.

Totally agree.

I'm kind of glad that Luck isn't entering the draft, because I think we have a lot more needs than QB, and since we just drafted Clausen and Pike, I'm glad we can spend the first round pick on something else, like DT.

I'm willing to give Clausen 3 years, if after that he still sucks then I'll pile on him too. That's what true fandom is all about. :)

I will say it for the 20th time: No QB in the NFL could have come in here as a rookie and been successful with Davidson as the OC, with Schwartz, Bernadeau, and Williams on the OL, with rookie WRs and a double-teamed, 5'9", 31-year old, ball-dropping Steve Smith, a lame duck coaching staff, and RBs who were injured or could not pick up a blitz. NOBODY!
