You know not too many people hated Jeff Davidson back in 2008 when we went 12-4 and running the ball up our opponents a**. There are 3 reasons our offense has sucked so bad the past 2 seasons and they are 1. John Fox 2. Jake Delhomme and 3. Jimmy Clausen

Wow, you got it all figured out! Maybe you should put Jerry Richardson on your list too. Look you can't blame Clausen. The o-line was beat up and no Otah to help the running game like they had in 08. They were starting rookies at QB and WR. Clausen sure as hell didn't throw the ball to the other team as much as Delhomme. How many games have you watched this past season? Oh and by the way the Panthers were 8-8 in 09.

1st: I watched every single game and I have them all on DVR so I watch them multiple times.

2nd: the reason Clausen didn't have a ton of INT's is because half the time his passes either got tipped by the D-Line or he did his regular throw it out of bounds move.

3rd: I didn't say a word about 2009 smartass.

The Browns are the Browns. Give them Philip Rivers and they still suck.

His offense was good in 07 but sucked in 08.

Wasn't 09 part of the past two seasons? I get tired of reading uneducated sh*t on here, sorry just took it out on you.

Im a Panther n charger fan .... i seen most of there game....and you make a point there with getting a good QB
But SD offense is like spreading the ball around and getting it out quick
but for that to happen we NEED good OL

actually, the opposite is true.. Still our OLine should be fine this upcoming year.. getting the ball out quick was our main problem this year.. OLine needs less time to block.. whether it's Matt Moore or Clausen, we need to get the ball out quicker..

not so much.. you have to factor in that defenses didn't have any film on us throughout the season.. and the Cards did what anyone would do, stack the box and make Jake throw..

Are you saying our offense was in the top half of the league in rankings back in 2009? If so I'm not the uneducated one. All I was doing was pointing out that our QB situation the past 2 seasons has pretty much sucked and untill we fix it no OC is going to look good here.

I will not argue with you about Jake Delhomme. I wanted to see his ass gone after the Arizona playoff game. But you can't blame Clausen for this year. He was thrown into the fire and :beatdeadhorse5: the o-line wasn't 100%. No excuse for Jake in 09. I'm not sold on Clausen totally but damn we got to give the kid a chance. Most on here beat him up and don't look at the underlying variables (hurt o-line = no running game, hurt RB's = opposing defense go after the rookie QB, Hurt o-line = no pass protection) And Davidson just implemented Fox's predictable offense (run, run, pass, punt).
