When was the last time our offense ran to the QBs strengths instead of trying to fit a square peg into a round hole?

Answer: the last 5 games of the 2009 season when we were rolling Moore out of the pocket to give him more time and help him make cleaner reads.

Even when Jake was falling apart, there were things he did well that we didn't exploit. Instead the coaching staff just stuck their system rather than make adjustments.

I feel the same way about Clausen. If we had a staff that would reinforce the things he did well instead of trying to make him into something he's not, he might have had more success.

Both of them were pretty accurate within 20 yards, but we wanted that vertical passing game for whatever reason, and neither of them were that kind of QB. Jake was when he first got here, but after blowing his arm, the playcalling should have been tailored to what he could do, and wasn't.

Kind of hope The Golden Calf of Bristol's not at dinner. Hungry and I don't feel like sitting through him saying grace for an hour.

The Golden Calf of Bristol just passed the rolls. Solid job. Didn't freak out and throw out of bounds like another certain rookie QB that I knew well.

Apparently we have to do our own dishes here. Will take a bit getting used to. Armanti used to do mine in Charlotte.

Early note from the Denver post: Fox refers to The Golden Calf of Bristol as "developmental" (link)

Make of that what you will :sosp:

It just simply means "The Golden Calf of Bristol is not a vet". That is all.

09 when they changed up things a bit for Moore, other then that brief stretch, I can't say I recall an example of the above. lol

not saying much there.

i won't overlook only 3 winning seasons and just 1 in the past 5 years. i won't overlook his stubborn commitment to his chosen players and his narrow-minded and antiquated brand of football that held this team back for years and left us with a mess, esp. at QB.

The truth is so obvious. I'm really surprised anyone would hire him as a HC, player's coach or not he is a dinosaur and incapable of adapting. He may have some decent years in a weak division but there aren't going to be any championship runs with his style of football.

No question that that's gonna be the same question for our 31 opponents too, whether lockout..or not....a lockout...

The reason that the last part of 09 was successful was that the running game was mosterous.....Moore truly just managed the game.
