mentioning Clausen's name in the same breath with Peyton's is insane. no chance Clausen will ever set one record in the NFL outside of the lowest QB rating ever. I just read an article Tom Sorensen wrote that said the panthers believe in Clausen. If that story is true we need an entire new FO and ownership.

I don't buy for a second the Panthers still think Clausen will be their best quarterback ever. I also really hope the Panthers aren't handicapping themselves & their scouts by refusing to look at any quarterbacks this draft because they think that keeping Pike and Clausen is worth it.

I sure hope they have an open mind. If they actually think Pickles can lead this team and is the future of the team we are all going to be sad.

I don't believe they are putting much stock in it.
Obviously, they are hopeful. You have to be when you sink a 2nd round in the guy.
Honestly I think at this point Pike has a better chance of becoming a legit high-level starter. Maybe he can fix his noodle and we can get something decent out of him after all.

I agree with the Pike statement. I know many won't agree, but I think Moore is a better option than Pickles.

Don't get me wrong, I think Pike is... uhh, not a very good prospect right now unless he found a way to greatly improve just about everything about himself coming out of college as far as QBing goes, but yeah. He's more an unknown at least, which is why I give him the benefit of the doubt over Clausen as far as future potential could go, though Clausen may still end up being ahead of him.
As to Moore, I kinda doubt they will consider him much at all. If we believe the article posted earlier they are going for stopgap at quarterback to get the team at least competing while they wait for better QB prospects to either develop or fall into their lap somehow.
