The Dolphins are projected to have the NFL's toughest schedule in 2009.
Last year's combined win percentage of Miami's 2009 opponents is .594 (152-104 W-L record). The Panthers will face the NFC's hardest schedule, while the Patriots get the NFL's third most difficult slate. Offseason upgrades and blunders, and natural personnel improvement and decline always influence these projections. But the AFC East will face the AFC South and NFC South, neither of which had one team with a losing record last year.

Going into last year, SD was projected as one fo the best, Atlanta was supposed to be one of the worst, no one would have picked the Dolphins, Falcons, and Cardinals in the playoffs.

We need to wait and see.

People always like to point that out, but chances are the Pats will be good with or without Brady, the Dolphins will be quite decent thanks to Chad, the Jets will be decent with or without Favre, (the Bills, no), the Cowboys will be good as usual, the Giants will be good because they are, the Eagles will be decent if they keep McNabb around, (the Skins, no), the Vikings will be decent thanks to that D and AP, the Cardinals will be decent if they re-sign Warner, the Falcons will be decent because they're for real, (the Bucs, no), and the Saints will be decent thanks to their offense. Barring injuries...it WILL be a tougher season than last. You can point out your one or two teams like you did (Chargers...who DID make the Playoffs, mind you; and then the Falcons and Miami shocks) but what about the rest of the league? I bet if you go back to the start of last season, they did pretty much how we thought they would.

We will not go 12-4. But I do think we win the division.

This is all based on last season's teams. Offseason and other things change all this. Everyone thought the Falcons would be a cakewalk this year, look what happened? Some teams fall, some teams rise. And "hard" is pretty relative to our current position. If we're for real next season, it won't seem as hard, whereas if we struggle, it's gonna be a very hard schedule.

I'm not on the Cowboys, Falcons, and Jets bandwagon just yet.

Cowboys could be a train wreck. They really are a joke of a team with a Michael Jackson-esque owner. Add the pressure to win now with all the B.S. (reality TV shows), Tony Romo's inability to perform under any type of pressure and his cookbook, weak ass grandpa Wade Phillips.... the cowbitches could fade. Which I would LOVE to see happen so I can shove it down the throats of every punk bitch Cowboy fan in Charlotte.

Falcons- Not sure. Last year was the perfect storm.

Jets didn't show much at the end of last year and will have a new coach.

Hey, I said I think we win the division. All I'm saying is I feel we won't go 12-4. And sure, a few teams surprise you every season and a few teams go sour. But for the most part, you can ballpark how a team will do based on what they currently have. Barring injury, the Pats, Jets, Phins, Cowboys, Eagles, Giants, Falcons, Vikings, and Cardinals all have good teams. And six of the teams I just mentioned we play on the road.

I think 10-6 is a good safe bet for our team. I'd be thrilled with 11-5. Of course we could go 16-0...and next year, when someone argues what I'm arguing now, you can point out how everyone said we had a tough schedule but went 16-0. Just be realistic. We're facing a lot of teams that year in and year out usually have tough squads. I'm not knocking the Cats at all. I think we'll be back in the Playoffs.

Yeah, same thing folks were saying before last season, especially after Smith was suspended and the first 2 games were against the Chargers and Bears. :nono:

Steelers faced arguably the hardest schedule any team has ever faced (eight of the 12 playoff teams from 2007, 12 teams with records of .500 or better in 2007, and the Super Bowl winners and runners up). Good teams find ways to win.

At least one, probably more, of the bottom feeders last year will make a serious run.

Raiders, Jags, Bengals, Browns, Chiefs, Seahawks, Rams, Lions

I'd say at least 5 of those teams will be tremendously better.
