I screwed up, but you also have to consider that we've done the best job of building a cabinet you've ever seen.

What a jackass.

My buddy built a fine cabinet a few weeks ago. He used Cedar.

Remind me, did Dumbya EVER admit to any of his multitude of mistakes?

This is me admitting a mistake, even though I want to say I've done a great job overall.

That's another thing that cracks me up....people saying he's done a great job. How do we know that? Because he's put "name" candidates in there? Are you really happy with Hillary as Secretary of State? Really?

Yes. The only person I would want in there more is Powell due to his experience, but good ol' dubya ruined his reputation in the world. Clinton might make up stories about landing in sniper fire, but she aint no damn puppet like Rice was.

A number of Republicans were, including Kissinger. I have to admit I was on the fence, but Dr. Kissinger's approval does mean quite a bit.

Links are always good when posting Obama stuff here whether you think it's a good or bad thing.

Daschle's withdrawal, along with wrangling over the stimulus, made for possibly the rockiest day of Obama's presidency so far. The president said he will learn from the Daschle debacle.
"I consider this a mistake on my part, one that I intend to fix and correct and make sure that we're not screwing up again," Obama said. "Ultimately I have to take responsibility for a process that resulted in us not having a (health and human services) secretary at a time when people need relief on their health care costs.
"So this is a mistake -- probably not the first one I'm going to be making in this office, but what I'm absolutely committed to doing is fixing it," he said.

Personally I respect Obama more for stepping up and taking responsibility.

daschle was a tool of the lobbyists and was nominated simply because he supported obama early.

I thought him saying "I fuged up" was pretty refreshing.

Now I wouldn't mind him nodding to the Sec of Tres who did similar to do the same thing, but thats wanting too much honesty out of Washington.
