Some people, sorry most people who are in the business of evaluating NFL players like to see them in person rather than just relying on tape. They need to get a feel for what kind of person and character he is, on top of what he can do physically.

Sure they will likely have given him a plan, but you can guarantee they were in evaluation mode the moment that he walked through the door.

well, I think it is safe to say most of Clausen's problems are related to what is going on around him. Pressure, throwing lanes, decision making in the pocket, etc.

well, Rivera and company have been in evaluation mode so the meeting was no different. I just don't he was brought in for this great personal workout to see what Clausen has as far as QB ability. They already have a good idea about that.

It was probably more of the meet and greet and getting to know the guy who is currently the #1 QB. Even if he is out there throwing it can be a "meet and greet" type purpose.

there is plenty of tape on Clausen to give Chud an idea of what he can and can't do.

I bet he was told some things to work on and better yet, probably given a plan in regards to working out w/ the new staff this offseason.

Tape gives you one perspective. A live workout gives you another. The reason that pro teams put draftees through workouts despite having plenty of film to watch.
