Maybe their treasure is laced with poison, or better yet tracking devices.

Not paying the ransom is a start, but we don't have anything to do with that if it is a foreign ship... all we can try and do is stop additional abductions at this point if they've got people held and are threatening them.

We could just sink the ship with hostages and all. And sink any other ship that they take hostage. Pretty soon, they would stop taking hostages.

wasnt it Sun Tzu who said you have to sacrifice one for the many? Im no usually one to say this....but seriously the amount of money that has been sent to them is insane. All it does is fuel all this crap in Africa.....hostages are an acceptable loss when it comes down to it long term. Yes 147 is a lot. But there wouldnt be 147 if harsher measures had been put in place a while ago.

Best approach to handling pirates is a solid run game, concentrating on the right side. An occasional deep pass helps keep them honest. Defensively, keep up the pressure but be wary of the big play. Above all, make sure your runningbacks throw a good stiffarm.

I've seen a plan of that sort be effective against pirates before.
