The whole intent of tagging Kalil would basically be just to block him from going elsewhere while we work on a long term deal for him. If he actually played under the tag, then that would be a massive failure by the FO.

Okay, say. The team tags him, and knowing richardson isn't going to sign off any contracts until there is a new cba, what happens if the cba doesn't get done in time for a new long term contract to get worked out. Will you still blame the front office?

The team does have to wait until the player signs the tag, to even entertain any trade proposals.

No team is desperate enough to give up compensation for a franchised back that is 28 years of age, and hasn't completed a season in 2 years.

But keep hoping man...nothing like grand delusions.

Deangelo has value on the open market. Not a lot of teams would be clamoring to trade for a RB, especially not one that is 28, possibly 29 if there is a lockout. Name me the last RB that was traded away for a #1+, which is what some of you think D-Will is worth. We would be lucky to get a 3rd for him.

Kalil may not be worth 10.1 milion RIGHT NOW, but someone would ****** him up in a heartbeat because he most likely will be worth that in the not too distant future.

Johnson probably has more value than most of you realize. He may not be the flashy type of player but any DE that can rack up double digit sacks is a big time commodity in the NFL.

Kalil very likely will become the highest paid center in the league.

Fans should be prepared for that fact.

I would expect Ryan Kalil to be tagged. If JR lets Hurney even use the tag..

can't tag kalil without tagging him left tackle contract money. it is a 100% certainty they wont tag him.
