Obama has appointed David Ogden as US Deputy Attorney General. This guy has fought legislation that would ban child porn. Ok seriously? This guy is pro-child pornography and has landed this position thanks to mr. obama. Word is that Obama wants to groom Ogden for a supreme court nomination. This is beyond absurd.

There is more to this and both sides have concerns. Senators grilled him hard about his past and he backtracked a lot. But actions do speak louder than words so the question now becomes: what does he really believe?

agreed, but frankly, i feel alot better about him representing porn companies than I would health insurance companies or the like.

you have no idea what you're talking about. the guy fought the child protection act which was one of the largest and overreaching threats to internet free speech that's ever been introduced. "word is that obama wants to groom ogden for a supreme court nomination?" word from whom? current.com?

oh ok right. hey why dont you try and find a way to pass this off as being an acceptable selection. First we have cabinet members who dont know how to pay taxes (and should be thrown in jail), now we have a deputy attorney general who wants to outlaw the ban on child pornography. perfect.

He's a lawyer. He defends anyone that will hire him. It's his job to defend any case, whether he believes in it or not. It's much the same how criminals with blatantly obvious cases still have lawyers that try their hardest to defend them. It was his job to try to fight for the person that hired him, and that's what he tried to do.
