I think this will be a very big help to our young recievers. glad to have Ricky Proehl back with the panthers regardless of the job title they give him.

You don't have to pay social security taxes on a consultant.

And he doesn't go on your company health plan either.

This is not to intimate that the Panther Front Office tries to get by on the cheap.

Actually, Sean Payton is known for bringing in 'consultants' to help out. Most notable is Gruden during TC. Even if not on the full-time staff, he knew to pick the brains of those who are great at something. Fox would never let his ego be dismissed to bring in a consultant. Plus this gives Proehl a chance to get his feet wet coaching.
