Meh... never cared for pings myself... but it's mostly because I don't like the offset shaft.

Ping makes some of the best Irons out there. Usually don't ever have to buy another set once you get one because they are so damn good and durable.

I have some Ping Irons and TM Burners 3W and My Canon.

Just started golfing 8-9 months ago and am shooting around 100-102. Boing!

If you like playing clubs which killed the people making them. Well I do. It makes me feel important.

but really I play eye2's (not the killer copper) I have regripped them twice and had them regrooved but never once thought of changing them out. Until I play enough to play blades there is no point.

Mr Scot, I understood. Golfers are by their very nature lairs.

Just like fishermen.

I haven't played in years and the wife all of a sudden has expressed interest in going to the range and learning so this thread has been very helpful.

NO WIVES ON THE GOLF COURSE! GOLF IS SACRED MAN TIME DO NOT fug THIS UP FOR YOURSELF.

If she wants to play with her friends fine. If its a girl you just started dating and you want to feel her up and see her in white shorts again fine.
NO WIVES. You don't ask to go to shopping with her do you?

but to each their own.

If it matters I wouldn't ever let her play from the red markers...

Therefore, if your wife becomes a golfer she is then a liar as well.

So, where do you think she's really off to when she announces on Saturday morning she's headed to the course to meet her friends for 18?

Probably down to the CC to help the Golf Pro wash his balls and polish his club.

But that'll be ok. Ill get to watch College Gameday without her bitchin about how high the grass is of how deep the leaves are. In the end I think everyone gets what they want...

thanks Husker...the place I'm looking will do a full computerized swing analysis and then give recommendations based on that. Buddy of mine did it and he swears by it.

this is the way too go.

Yes...you should hit steel but, depending on your clubhead speed it should be regular, stiff or extra stiff. Mid to high 80's mph..reg., high 80's mid 90's.. stiff, around 100... you might need extra stiff.
