I think the fact that Obama is showing no real leadership should be a big concern for all of us...

Way to give him 2 weeks.

He didn't even give him that.

Just remember, at this time W was already on his third week of vacation.

So at what point are we going to start blaming his failures on Bush? About a week?

he is respected because he has already gathered more positive accomplishments than bush did in his entire tenure.

I didn't vote for the guy, but I am certainly willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, or at least wait and see.

That being said, he has accomplished absolutely nothing.

Even if you believe Bush accomplished nothing positive (which is wrong), at best he is tied at zero.

Exactly. Bush should get credit for ALMOST getting Alec Baldwin to move elsewhere.

This is why liberals should put the bong down every once in a while.

And maybe conservatives should leave the pain pills alone.

I don't recall Dumbya setting any restrictions on pay for those banks that took a handout.

My problem with Washington setting pay caps, is when are they going to practice what they preach?

Nor should he have. The feds took a stake in the banks as shareholder. That doesn't give them the right to set salaries. If they don't like the way the banks are run, then they have the same rights as other shareholders and vote there shares to remove leadership.

And fwiw, it certainly wasn't a handout. The original tarp gave the government stock in the banks. Don't know if you noticed, but at least some of the banks have been paying the government a rather healthy dividend.
