We should have been represented by Brooklyn Decker, could have had her posing in a Panthers bikini...

Top shelf idea catman, we would have certainly got people's attention. But Alf was like a sore thumb in that Panthers gear! lol

...or they could have superimposed a Panthers bikini on her while she was walking up the beach for that new Adam Sandler movie they were promoting...

Point being they put Carolina on there because we are watching from the Carolinas. Alf was probably wearing a lions shirt for Michigan viewers. Just a thought.

I live in Oregon, and it was a Carolina shirt and pin.

Watching the superbowl commercials online show Alf with the Panthers tee. I was a lil disappointed that the Panthers weren't represented in the Simpson part though.

It was a fun commercial, and I was good with Alf. We could have had Marg Helgenberger (CSI) ... she's a huge Panthers fan.

That would have been good too.

I honestly don't get why people would be upset with Alf. I thought it was fun.

They could have went with Dawson's Creek or Matlock, both were shot in the Carolinas.

Both shot in Wilmington, but Matlock was set around Atlanta and Dawson' was in New England. Andy Griffith would have been good.

Was funny we got Alf a show that went off the air before the Panthers existed.

I will say the CGI stuff was pretty good. Like The Fonz hitting a big screen TV.

Flanders is wearing a Texans jersey but a Bucs hat

They did manage to get everyone in, and most of it was fairly regional (except Alf, of course).

It's the only Bucs reference they used.

I think the Simpsons scene was meant to ensure they didn't miss anyone.
