how does it make sense for a team that had the worst offense by far in the league and one of the worst offenses ever ignore the offense with the first pick overall?
IMO Rayor, it wouldn't. If Luck had declared, this wouldn't even be a discussion. The problem this year, as everyone knows, is there is no offensive player worthy of a top 5 pick this year, let alone the #1 overall. Of course, all of this could change after the combine and individual workout. However, I suspect if none of the prospects pulls ahead of the pack, considering our new coaching staff, I wouldn't be suprised to see us go defense in the 1st round (whether we trade down or stay put).
