1 company?!?!?!

You seriously answered the thread with that sh!t?!?!?!?

I know you're not willing to admit anything that would implicate your precious admin but that's just pathetic. You have that CWG mentality..."I'm not affected so it's not happening".

2 companies and a whole portfolio, but pick and choose as normal.

Overstatement and untrue.

And if your retort for other industries that have made money is, "Well, they use banks to manage their money," then you're just a fuggen dumbass.

You're not very good at adult discussions, obviously.

most older biziness are off 20-40%

"Older" businesses? How exactly are you going to quantify that? Give me some real numbers here.

The OP is a dumbass that has no knowledge of our economy or business economics.

He probably just got laid off from his job because he spent too much time on internet messageboards.

But, be careful with your words! He's a "polar bear." in his avatar

Apple

But this should cheer everyone up. Apple has just announced their Q1 2011 (their holiday quarter) earnings — and as many anticipated, they’re massive.

How massive? Well, coming off its best quarter ever in terms of revenue ($20.34 billion in Q4), Apple was projecting $23 billion in revenue for the quarter. The Street, meanwhile, recognizing that Apple always lowballs these numbers, thought revenue would be more like $24.38 billion. The actual number? $26.74 billion.

Microsoft

Microsoft beat Wall Street's expectations today with its fiscal second quarter earnings.

For the three months ended December 31, Microsoft earned $19.95 billion in revenue, or 77 cents per share, on $6.63 billion of net income. Analyst estimates from earlier in the week had pegged the software giant's revenues at 69 cents per share on $19.2 billion in revenue.

Caterpillar

Cat's fourth-quarter sales surged 62% to nearly $13 billion and profit more than quadrupled to $968 million, or $1.47 a share. Machinery and engines cash flow rose to an all-time record, helped by strong demand in emerging markets. During the fourth quarter, machinery and engine sales soared 69% as financial products revenue dropped 6% year-over-year. For the full-year 2010, [Caterpillar's stock was the best-performing of the 30 Dow components. It is up 81% in 12 months. Cat recorded $4.15 of profit per share in 2010 and is forecasting $6 a share of profit in 2011 on $50 billion of sales, representing 16% potential top-line growth

Local company

RF Micro Devices Inc.'s (RFMD) fiscal third-quarter earnings rose 47%, with adjusted profit topping analysts' estimates by a penny, as the company's revenue and margins improved.

Several earnings reports from major companies beat market expectations, with the notable exceptions of Cisco Systems, the telecommunications equipment giant, and Kraft Foods. Both offered disappointing outlooks

So basically, most companies are making money, and some like Apple and Caterpillar are making a lot of money. Unfortunately, some of them are still a little paranoid and aren't hiring yet.

Haha thats quite an interesting line up of corporations you got there. Sounds like smooth sailing for the military industrial complex and big brother.

I referenced the military industrial complex on Caterpillar whos contracted by the military. Apple more falls along the lines of "big brother" that I mentioned.
