Its unfortunate he can't get elected, but the truth is he can't.

He has zero charisma or presence. He sounds and looks weak.

He is 100 years too late in running for office.

interesting discussion this morning on NPR on how abandoning the gold standard was to a large extent what allowed us to escape the great depression and how you can track countries recovery from the depression as they abandoned the standard. Said it would be catastrophic to attempt to return to it in this day and age and anyone who pushes it doesn't really understand modern economics.

anyone with real economic knowledge care to comment?

Of course establishment media outlet NPR would say such crap.

Abandoning the gold standard was one of the worst economic moves we couldve made, right up there with the hijacking of our economy through the global banking takeover of 1913. The dollar has been declining in value ever since the gold standard was dropped, thus the limited life span our fiat currency will face. It soon won't be worth the paper its printed on, thanks to it's being backed by absolutely nothing. The dollar is essentially worthless.

Its funny because he thinks he has a shot at winning a General Election..

Who, Paul or Trump? Neither has a shot at winning a general election for president.

Funny thing is, Paul would be the only one with a chance to beat Obama. I would vote for him and support him

Your extra vote not withstanding, Trump has as much chance of being president as Paul does. And by as much chance, I mean none.

The dollar is as worthless as gold which is as worthless as anything.

I agree, but he also has a problem in that some of his beliefs and ideas would not go over very well once the general public actually started listening to him. Can't imagine him having a chance in hell of winning Florida or Arizona if he starts talking about getting rid of Medicare.

I think we should go to a Cadbury Creme Egg backed economy. Everyone loves those.
