Let's wait until after the combine to discuss QB comparisons. Deal? Those that choose NOT to throw in the combine immediately go to >5 ranking. Deal?

I just watched Mel Kiper on my TV Screen say Newton was the best QB in the draft above Gabbert. His latest mock has Newton at #3 to the Bills (up 7 spots from his last one). He said he moved Newt up because of what he's hearing from his sources and NFL brass. Hmmm. Still 2 months to go til the draft...

you know i agree that he is, but i wouldn't be using kiper's endorsement as something to back it up.

kiper is wrong just as much as he is right.

I thought micnificent had assured us that Newton was already Kiper's #1

Everybody rating Gabbert as the top prospect doesn't really convince me that he's a franchise QB though. Best available in this draft maybe, but that's not the same thing.

I Said Kiper had Cam as his number 1 QB on his big board which is exactly what the OP is telling you. I just told you ahead of time and Now it's coming to pass.

McShay is still slurping Locker's nuts.

McShay is trying to save some face. He has tweeted since his last "big board" that Locker was falling and Newton was rising after watching tape.

He just hasn't come out with his new board since then

Jesus...he hasn't had time to evaluate the film on these guys until now?

I say it's more likely that he's hearing from NFL sources that Cam is higher on their boards than Locker, because of his obvious lack of accuracy. He should have been able to figure that out on his own though, since that's his job and all.
