State does not match up well with UNC. UNC's interior length is tough for anyone, but it is devastating against Smith/Howell. Also, Sid's reliance on isolation plays right into the hands of UNC. Our only shot is for Scott Wood to catch fire and hit atleast 4 or 5 threes to open it up.

It will be interesting to see if Sid makes any adjustments defensively. I hope I dont have to see Wood trying to guard the Black Falcon. lol.

Even though we have been playing much better recently, I not expecting to win, but I just hope we can keep it competitive.

It's at State so anything could happen. UNC is a hot/cold team. They are good enough some nights to be a final four team, and bad enough other nights to be beaten in the first game in the NCAA tourney. Depends on which team decides to show up. I believe NC State has the talent to be top 4 in the ACC, but for some reason can't put it together. I suppose Lowe is to blame for that.

I can't imagine how low our team morale is at this point, so yeah I'm not getting my hopes up for this one (too much). I'm sure i'll watch and be swiftly disappointed with how we play.

I am actually kinda worried about this game. Especially since we are not shooting the ball well and State is playing a lot better lately.

Basketball is about matchups, and we dont match up well at all.

We are going to need big double-doubles from Tracy and CJ.
Gonna need four 3's from Wood.
And really good point guard play.
And our best defensive effort of the season.

Minus the Maryland game, Wood has been very quiet in all of our loses... which I contribute to poor coaching by Sid for not running plays to get him open looks.
