From some anti-miscengy wiki page:

Anti-miscegenation laws, also known as miscegenation laws, were laws that enforced racial segregation at the level of marriage and intimate relationships by criminalizing interracial marriage and sometimes also sex between members of two different "races".

Doesn't matter what they've been through. Who, exactly, is trampling on their rights to be together and to love one another?

I'm with the other poster who says the Feds should stay out of recognizing any type of marriage. No married filing jointly... nothing.
The only exceptions would be members of the military, ambassadors, and other personnel who live abroad with family. (and yes, except for military personnel, they can currently bring homosexual partners abroad with them)

And?
Sodomy laws aren't currently legal. If it happened in 1612 or 2003, they aren't currently legal in the US.

My whole argument with you was about equating racism with allowing gays to marry.
