I love people claim JR lied. I'm sure had he known so many people would be released early he would have said something different but seeing how the situation changed, the ignorant juts keep on persecuting someone.

God forbid some of you ever lie. Oh, I forgot...Holier Than Thou.

Also I wouldn't go as far as to say Pat Y "Knows his stuff". Dude's the brightest tool in the shed.

- We trade down for a 2nd round, 4th round, 7th round & conditional 3rd round next year & draft CB Peterson or WR Green

nobody is going to trade a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 7th pick to move up 1 to 3 spots.

McNabb is NOT going to be released or traded. That is not going to happen. The Redskins would then be in a very similar situation as the Panthers. They would have no legit starting QB, looking at the same FA group we are (which is not very good, and nobody close to McNabb) and then have a #10 draft pick to get a QB who will not be ready to start right away.

Bottom line is McNabb will be on the Skins roster, unless somebody offers an insane trade (which wont happen). Not saying I wouldnt mind having him on our roster.

Shanny benched his twice for Rex Grossman last year.......McNabb makes to much money to stay in DC and for Shanny to not want to play him. Shanny won w/ Plummer....Shanny thinks he can win with anyone pending he finds someone he likes I think.

I think they hope to trade him and end up cutting him. I still think Palmer is the guy Carolina needs. He can play a couple years and be good w/ the talent here.....and Rivera can then worry about finding the future and working w/ him on the bench.

When will the prediction threads end?

Maybe a new thread with people giving their predictions on when prediction threads will end, is needed? :D

Doesnt make a difference Shannahan benched him twice. I even think some of that was going on when they gave him the 5yr contract or something. Bottom line is there is NOBODY out there who is better than McNabb. Getting rid of him, escpecially with out some decent picks in return, would leave a huge hole from them at QB they themselves couldnt fill. Going into next season with Grossman and McNabb is much better than any other combination. Maybe if somebody offers a deal they cant refuse, I can maybe see it, but other than that no way.

everyone doesn't look at things the same.....Shanny considers the fact Grossman could be better. Therefore, he could view tons of guys better out there for what he does.

When guys don't mesh.....most teams don't wait around for it to get worse. Clearly, McNabb/Shanny didn't mesh. I think the odds are less than 50% he is a Redskin next year. McNabb ain't what he once was.....and what he is now? those type players get cut all the time.

McNabb isn't going anywhere unless he pulls a Carson Palmer and historically McNabb has been a company man so I doubt that will happen. Shannahan will be shown the door before McNabb.

I agree with pretty much nothing you said OP.

First off, no way we get peterson in the 2nd round, hes gone by then. Mcnabb is old and beat up, i don't want him here. He would just complain more, like he has for his entire career.

We don't need to draft a TE now. We have depth, and we can lose Rosario or even Barnidge now.

I would rather have the number one pick than trade around. I believe that our talent is going to explode this year, so we don't need more projects. Get one guy that we know is going to be a solid player. I don't like fairlay either, he seems like a Haynesworth waiting to happen, grab the other DT or DE.

I still think Cam Newton is a solid pick. Clausen, Moore, and Newton is a pretty damn good trio to have at QB, and we can get Newton through the developmental phase this next year. Gabbart is NOT going to do better than Clausen if we drafted him and made him start right away. If Jimmy fails, put Moore back in. If Moore fails, but Clausen back in. THEN if all else fails, throw in Newton to make some plays happen with his feet.

We also NEED NEED NEED DWill back. He takes pressure off the QB position. Can you imagine the potential Newton and DWill would have to make something happen? Sure Newton might not be able to instantly make the throws that we need to win, but in the even that Jimmy can't get it done we would at least have something to work with as far as Newton doing the option and making something out of nothing with his ability to run around.

You need to take a closer look at his big extension he got in Washington.

He has a 10 million option coming up that if they pay it triggers the rest of the contract.

Bottom line is you cut a QB prior to that 10 million option if you think Rex Grossman is just as good. Redskins have plenty of time until that 10 million option comes just to hold onto him just to see if there is any use of him.....

still think odds favor him just being cut and not a Redskin next year. Keeping him and Shanny wouldn't make sense and Shanny is staying at least another year.
