From what I have read, they have shut down the reactors, but it takes a while for them to actually cool down and there is a danger until they do. I wonder though if the danger is a meltdown or a leak. Both are bad, but a leak can be managed to an extent.

Based on my limited understanding of nuclear physics, a true meltdown is extremely unlikely in this case.
