I think someone needs to clue Mr. Peterson in that slaves had to do what they were told. He does not. He can quit and sit at home for the rest of his life. Or go to work for Walmart. Its up to him.

Kellen Winslow said he was a soldier - I thought football was more like the Army?

Seriously though, what an asinine comment.

No doubt it's a pretty stupid image to invoke and an incredibly dumb comparison to make.

Wow if petersen actually said this it has got to be one of the most bonehead quotes I've seen in a while. Kinda makes me change my opinion of him in a way...I'm getting so fed up with players getting upset with the owners over how they are treated. They make millions of dollars a year...

I bet if Kunta Kinte heard Peterson say that he would give him a Steve Austin Stunner.

The owners have a advantage in media relations. There are only a few owners while there are more than a 1000 players. And the owners are generally older, more mature and more polished. Its easier for them to present a united front and avoid making stupid comments to the media.

If I am D Smith, I tell the players to shut the fug up right now. No tweets, no interviews, nada.

The NFLPA* and its members are providing a textbook example of how to let bad p.r. absolutely ruin their perception with the public.

I wouldn't tell all of them to shut up. There are some fairly well spoken guys among the players.

But AP? Yeah, I'd tell him to zip it, especially after this :nonod:

Maybe Peterson should have a catscan or brainscan, he's took one too many shot's to his head. That's just crazy talk, 5150 right there.

No, all of them need to shut the fug up about everything.

In the words of Chappelle "Just shut the *** up. SHUT THE *** UP!"
