Don't care if it was a two, you still have to call it. Maybe they would have gotten off a 3 had the refs correctly put 1.1 seconds on the clock. The Fix may be in..

had the Washington player not got crazy and chucked up that ill advised 3 point attempt and taken a better offensive set then that, then they would have had a better chance to win.

I agree 100%! That was CLEARLY GOALTENDING on Henson's shot... Should have been on the line for a 3pt play, and not a 2 shot foul...

coming from a huge tarheel fan that was an awful game. I don't believe we deserved the win, but neither did Washington really.

and are you serious youngpanther there were plenty of terrible calls both ways, I agree completely that there was clearly a goaltend and there should have been more time on the clock. But to insinuating that we cheated is ridiculous, that's on terrible officiating not on UNC

Michigan got one free throw in the previous game. It's their playing style more than the officiating.

Goaltending, probably, but doesnt matter at the end. If they ref's dont screw up and put the proper amount of time on the clock maybe they have a chance for a better shot. Ref admitted after the game that Washington's coaching staff requested that they check the time, and the official that keeps the time told them that there was no point. What is more shocking to me is that for a team that aggressively blocks shots on a consistant basis in the paint, manages to go a whole game comitting only 9 fouls.(BTW Wash took 72 shots.) Duke in the Mich game gets called for 18 fouls, on a team that shot 53 shots all game, and shot more 3's than Washington did. It still amazes me that carolina fans always cry about duke getting calls and fail to see that they still get tons of them.

There was no definitive camera shot showing that Henson touched the ball.

I have no idea what Henson was thinking trying to get block it anyway.

It wouldn't have made a difference because it was a 2 point play. If there were the correct amount of time on the clock, that shot would have been completely different and we wouldn't be having this discussion.

The fact remains that Washington had the opportunity to win that game and they shat the bed the last few minutes.
