Starting a little early but wanted to give the shout outs to UNC and Duke for making it out of Charlotte. Close games but need we be reminded by Charlie Sheen that you're either winning or your not.

Syracuse/Marquette is gonna be a good one. Marquette is a really good team and was my sleeper pick. I picked them to make the E8.

Everyone was talking about how the talent was more spread out than ever this year and this was the perfect year for another Villanova or Danny Manning Kansas team to win it all. And yet, three of the ones, at least three of the twos, at least two (and possibly all four) of the threes, and two of the fours (with another still alive) have made it.

If it makes you feel any better Purdue is down three.

I think OSU, Kansas, and ND roll pretty easily. The rest will be very good IMO.

31.5% of this year's sweet sixteen participants are from non-power conferences.

The talent gap continues to narrow.

I doubt more than 1 makes the final four and none make the final, but this is the largest number of non-power conference teams in the sweet sixteen that I can ever remember.

I think the Carolina bigs will beat the snot out of Marquette. Duke played them earlier this season and Mason Plumlee had 25 points 12 bounds.

So far, so good. I'm scared of Marquette next round. One of the best "teams" I have seen this year. DJO and Jimmy Butler are probably the most underrated players in the NCAA.

Kansas will have to beat a combination of Richmond and Florida State or VCU to get to the Final Four...

Here's hoping they underestimate one of them and get upset.
