Hes already promised a "long" war. No more. No more war, please. Drop a smart dude on his head and leave. He is the reason this is taking place, and he won't stop fighting, ever until he dies. How can't he be a target? Who then are the targets??? Is this serious??

You just can't go around killing heads of state but you can pretty much blow up most of his country and hope he gives in....

Did they? I don't know. They might have rebeled, but doesn't necessarily mean they fired the first shot.

Fwiw, the UN mandate allows a no fly zone to be established, which means taking out their air defense systems first, and also allows members to do whats necessary to stop attacks on civilians and establish a ceasefire. Killing the head of state isn't necessarily part of that.

I wasn't talking about who fired first.
They are rebelling against their gov't. They took over a city. I'm pretty sure most leaders would fight back. They are getting shot at because they rebelled and try to take the gov't down.

They aren't firing on just civilians. They are firing on armed rebels.

Really? proof?

Sounds like a place you shouldn't rebell unless you got mega power behind you or you don't mind dying.

No. That would be silly.

I'm saying they made the choice they can deal with it themselves.

i don't think they're afraid of dying.

if you need proof you can research it yourself. I'm not going to argue a "gaddafi's just misunderstood" line of reasoning.

that would be silly, pretty sure they are dealing with it.

it would be pretty stupid to turn down NATO airstrikes when you're getting massacred in the streets.

I'm saying we shouldn't be their bombing stuff or going after Libya's leader. It's none of our business. I might feel a bit different if he was committing genocide. But these people made choices and are still making choices to put themselves in harms way.

So when does a "no fly zone" mean a British Sub is going to conduct a missile strike at the HQ of a head of state?

Killing heads of state is a dangerous path to walk.

Even douchebag pimped out Michael Jackson wannabee goofballs that have the audacity to start an International Prize for Human Rights named after himself.

And I agree with you but we've put ourselves in a "THE SPICE MUST FLOW" situation. This is an economic war.
