Yasinskas Speculation: "Real Chance" Smith is Traded

Unless you get a 1st for Smith, which will never happen, then it's a stupid move.

If Smith is on the trading block, then we really may be considering one of these lame rookie QBs for the #1 pick.....what a disaster.

definately don't want Smitty to retire here......there flat out will come a time w/ his attitude/issues/distractions/lack of chemistry with the team outweighs his on field production. That time is rapidly approaching.

True, but I think Rivera will have Smith more under control than Fox did. Smith was Fox's boy but I dont think Rivera will take that s**t if Smith stays.

well, to keep Smitty you can't use Clausen, Pike, or a drafted rookie as the QB in 2011.

if they land a Palmer or someone like that.....then Rivera can keep Smitty.

I bet Carolina has no clue what they are going to do yet as the options have been put on hold and when they can start making moves you never know what could become avaliable.

If Rivera believes Smith wil lbe traded, there actually may be something to possibly drafting Green #1.

I wouldnt take a WR #1. Move down a few spots, pick up at least a 2nd this year then take him.

I got used to losing my favorite players after Pep left last season. I no longer hold any allegience to the players and only care about the good of the team. If you are a cancer you must be removed.

If he wants out, trade him...dont need the drama. If he wants to stay and work keep him. /story

yeah, but Smitty needs a coach that will let him basically be Steve....otherwise you just have a timebomb. Steve has always been a timebomb though that has gone off every few years.

I'd agree, though I'd much rather see Smith replaced with a veteran pickup than a rookie.

Awesome. Trade away one of the only competent offensive players we have, who is on contract for a few more years, for a 4th round pick at best.

Sounds like a swell idea.

doubtful any team is gonna give up a 2nd to move up 3 or 4 spots with us....the top of this class just ain't strong. They would basically be a team trading up into where you don't want to be from where you want to be.

there is a risk also of trading down. trade down for player X and he might not be there.

    • Just from the movie. I didn't guess that she was bringing all the black dudes in, but I knew right away the family was collecting blacks and the mom was using hypnosis to keep them there. I was like, yep ... evil white people. Neat.
    • Has a visit with Carolina. Ran under a 7 second 3 cone drill. Underrated blocker, go watch him matched up vs Texas A&M. Reminds me of Jordan Reed and is bigger and faster than him when he entered the league
    • ive dug and dug on Cam Robinson. more and more i think hes had bad coaching at Alabama. most scouts say that he has different footwork from one play to the next. when his footwork is right, hes a badass. he haS bad habits, but is the most talented big man in the draft when it comes to upside. he needs a great OL coach.  worst case he can start at right tackle tomorrow. then we could move daryl to guard if tray and norwell both leave. he gives us a lot of options and can be a dominant left tackle if he can get consistent footwork.  he handled Garrett. he didnt handle carl lawson. lawson is a tactician, thats why he could take advantage of robinsons bad habits.
