... & he said the same about black holes. The evidence showed him to be wrong there too.

I brought up the fact he was a priest to emphasize that it wasn't intended to disprove creationism

I know it wasn't. But isn't it often used in that manner?

The problem that the religious and non-religious folk have in common is that they assume their interpretations of the facts are the actual facts.
