I was pleased. It has some potential and would give HBO a serious triple threat adding to True Blood and Boardwalk.

I never read the books so I will take it at face value for now but it will be nice to have points of reference untiol I get the characters lined up.

I gotta wonder if Biscuit had a hand in casting the females because they all had nice rackage. Not huge, but nice. :D

That should help some.

Don't do too much research, you don't want to know what's coming, I promise.

My favorite characters are Littlefinger, Tyrion, Jon Snow, and Jaime Lannister.

So, I'm guessing the books are worth the read?

Very much so.

I would make the point that the books aren't for everyone. Some people need generic poo wrapped up in a shiny bow, like Stephen King, Dean Koontz or Terry Goodkind.

Goodkind is pretty fun.

Kind of indulgent.

But fun.

can someone pm me a link to an online version? I'm not having any luck with digging it up, and I don't get HBO...

only thing I'll add is that I wish they'd have gotten someone that wasn't in LOTR to do it...

Sean Bean is a good choice for Ned Stark.

possibly... but it is just the equivalent of someone like Viggo Mortensen playing another role like Robin Hood or something... Anytime I see him cast as something midevil/fantasy in the future I'm going to associate it with Aragorn/Stryder...
