I never read your posts, CCB. I can't stop looking left...

When I AM able to tear my eyes away, they get drawn down and see that chick who looks like she'd be hot if she's stop all that foolishness with her mouth. It's not attractive.

I agree with ya wholeheartedly CCB. After watching Gruden poke and prod Gabbert and Cam i saw some huge differences. Blaine seems like a very coachable smart guy. His resume is not as impressive as Cam though. Cam had an amazing year at Auburn. Heisman and National Championship in record time. Problem is how many times has the biggest star in college translated to the NFL. Is Cam a shooting star ( he does like to talk about guns) or is he a rising star?

The long and short of it is i think Blaine is Bland compared to Newtron. Younger fans and jaded bored older fans have latched onto a hope and dream that Cameron can bring us relevance. That they can go to the barbershop or sports bar and proudly rock their brand new jersey of the talk of the NFL. Many will say i just want to win. I guess they have convinced themselves that Cam gives us the best chance to do that. I still think Green, PP7, Gabbert, and other options have the capability to help us win too.

So what do we come away with?
- Blue Chip Player in 2011 Ok..
- Peyton Manning 2.0 in 2012 Says who? I really don't think we have a shot at Luck next year, sorry, we missed out. The other QB's look no better than Newton in accuracy, and Newton has better mobility / athleticism

vs.
- Cam Newton being a rookie in 2011 Yep.
- Cam Newton still developing in 2012 Newton could start in 2012, depending on Clausen.
- Cam Newton ready to be judged if he can translate to the NFL in 2013 Aaaand if we don't draft Newton we will be further behind than this. Come on, this is weak.

Gabbert's wonderlic was 42 Newton's was 21

Plus Gabbert has never been arrested for theft.
Or been caught cheating and lying. Those are
NOT the attributes of a "Face of Our Franchise"
We can do better then Newton at the #1 pick.

Andrew Luck > Cam Newton

When you buy a new toy, do you want to buy the cheap toy to satisfy you for a short period of time? or do you save your money and get the big toy that will last for a very long time and has better features?

If I'm the kid buying that new toy, I'm picking the one with all the features. Thank you.

Why do you quote yourself in your sig? That's retarded.

I'll take the "dumb thug" over pretty boy Gabbert
EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!! America doesn't care.. We only care about WINNERS!
That's what Cam is... Whether we take him or not!

I personally believe that Jake Locker will be the best QB in the class. Call me stupid or crazy... The future has all the answers!

Gabberts wonderlic was actually 32..so yes technically he is lying by letting people think its a 42.

I always find it hunorous when people bring up character issues, sure there have been several situations in recent memory. But, since the allegations/charges involving the laptop etc. What trouble was he involved in? And aren't those issues older than two years?

To my understanding (not a Cam/Auburn/College football in depth follower), the only issue surrounding him recently was the "Pay for Play" fiasco where his father was the one involved. So I mean since I assume he learned his lesson over a dumb decision he likely made when he was 18-19 years old (laptop) is it not time to give the young man the benefit of the doubt.

If anything he showed great leadership and resilliance dealing with that "Pay for Play" nearly ALL seaosn and still he was able to win. I dunno about most of you but that's what stands out more to me vs a bad decision he made years ago. Just saying, because WE ALL have skeletons in our closets and at some point in our lives did something that we are not proud of and may be ashamed of, but that doesn't mean WE ALL suffer from "Character Issues". Just keep it 100% with yourselves before you judge other people.

I know my flaws.

I also know when I was 20, nobody would have ever paid me several million dollars considering what was going on in my life, even if I was a talented football player. :P

Character matters. QBs especially are held to a higher level than most. That doesn't mean a QB has to be perfect but it does mean that for guys coming into the NFL there is tremendous scrutiny. I don't think Cam's past is going to hold him back in the NFL, but it's legitimate to investigate it and to be concerned about it.
