I think this is more of a matter of who they could get to agree to do it rather than picking and choosing who makes the announcements. Legendary Panther retirees: Kevin Greene and Reggie White first in my mind, even though they're not best known as Panthers. They coulda got Mills III too. I think Hoov is about as good a choice as anyone.

This is part of a thing the NFL is doing which they refer to as having "legendary alumni" announce picks.

I guess Hoover is who they found most 'legendary' for us.

Wonder who's 'legendary' for the Jags and Texans.

For JAX, Boselli would've been a good one - being he was their first draft pick. Jimmy Smith would've been good too, but I'm guessing off field stuff from recently eliminated him from that.

I wouldn't mind seeing Rucker call ours out sometime in the future.

Brad Hoover was awesome! I liked when him and Nick Goings were the junkyard dogs of the Panthers.

Boselli would make sense. Agree on Smith.

I think this is more of a matter of who they could get to agree to do it rather than picking and choosing who makes the announcements.

Thought about that as an explanation. After the stories that came out about him fondling himself in the locker room, I'd definitely have avoided putting Haley on TV at all costs

Cool. Hoover never got the recognition he deserved outside of our fans.
