We will just have to see if they don't see a franchise QB either. Damn CBA making it so they can't negotiate..wouldn't have to be waiting to find out.

Drafting a QB may land us at the TOP of the Division!!! Look fellas, it's open for debate on whether or not Jimmy Clausen will be an NFL caliber QB... My thoughts on that are HELL NO! The dude even looks half retarded to be honest...

I think Gabbert has a "homo" aura about him and i think Newton is better! I don't recall Gabbert winning a Heisman or national Championship!?

Say we take Cam (which i hope we do) he instantly gives us a face, instantly rejuvenates a young Panther locker room, and loyal fan base! Those are FACTS whether you like the guy or not...

Where's Jimmy at now??? at home praying that they dont draft Cam... His ass should be organizing team workouts like Colt Mccoy is doing though! And you guys wonder why we only won 2 games! I guarentee you that within two weeks of Cam being drafted (whoever drafts him) he has organized team workouts or at least at a minimum has his receivers out there running routes. He has done that at EVERY LEVEL HIS ENTIRE CAREER!

This guy has the ABILITY to revolutionize the Position!!

Drafting a QB won't put us in the cellar unless it's Gabbert in my opinion! He's nothing spectacular... Cam is and that's why there's so much HYPE surrounding his name.

Don't buy into the hype that the talking heads say on ESPN... They get paid to TALK!!! (which must be nice by the way)sometimes they let CRAP out of their mouths just to start debates like we're doing right now!

Imagine this for a second... Cam under center, DeAngelo behind him... Smith, Edwards, and Lafell or Gettis split out, Shockey at tight end.... What do you do if you're a defense!? Blitz the corners? oh ok... quick screen to Armanti Edwards... but wait, he drops back and "PASSES" accross the field to a wide open Steve smith! Maybe they'll load the box huh... Play action the LB's bite and pick a receiver any receiver!!!!

This was my 2nd post here and I obviously know football... I'm looking forward to mixing it up with all of you while we wait on these guys (The NFL) to get their Shyite together!

Gotta go for now
-Deuces

Where do I start?

Jimmy looks half retarded? Not a good way to start your unbiased post. He sure is ugly but half retarded? Come on

You don't want Gabbert because he has a homo aura? Real mature and analytical. Then you bring up the Heisman and NC like that matters in the NFL. Go back and look at some of the guys that did that and where their careers went.

The third paragraph is not facts, that is an opinion.

Jimmy is working out at Velocity with a lot of teammates and has mentioned throwing with some of the receivers this off-season, this has been mentioned in this thread, keep up or get the fug out.

He does not have the ability to revolutionize the position, we hear this every couple years about a prospect and it doesn't happen.

In the next paragraph you tell us Cam is so great and that's why he has hype then the next paragraph you tell us not to buy the hype because ESPN is just a bunch of guys talking. What do you want us to do? Believe the hype only about Cam but no one else? Come on man.

You simplify the game in the next paragraph to a level an 8 year old wouldn't. What does Cam do so great in that scenario? Anyone can throw a hitch route or hit a wide open Smitty. Cam brings nothing special in the scenario you mentioned. Come on man.

No, you don't obviously know football. You just look dumb.

Yes we would, Hurney would still be fishing for trade offers. With the CBA we could have picked up FA's and had a little better idea of what they're looking for.

First... I never said my post was unbiased!

Do I really need to quote the personal and professional blasts about Jimmy? really? so yeah i shortened it by saying what i said.

You're right about Heisman trophies NOT translating... I couldn't agree more!

Second, you are correct sir, I missed the post about working out at velocity.

I'm just trying to get excited about the draft as that is all we ALL have as fans right now. To me that's the only pick that can excite this franchise. It's obvious that you disagree though. Do you really have to say that I'm dumb because you disagree though?

and if you're so smart... What's your draft day solution!?

I been thinking alot about it to. And i also feel that Newton want be the pick. Its just way to risky taking him number 1, maybe we can take a Quarterback next year. The Quarterback class should be way better. Right now if we stay at number 1 think the edge goes to Dareus and AJ Green is right behind him. I dont think they will mind getting Jimmy a target the guy can play. We could also use him just in case if Smitty ges traded when ever there is a CBA.

Also for the last time here is a trade scenario for some Cam huggers.

There has been talk about the bengals taking gabbert and most people believe that gabbert is set for Arizona. if its true we could probably trade back with Arizona and take there 5 overall pick there second and maybe a next year third. They take gabbert number 1. Denver still take Dareus and here is how it goes with the Bills they pass up on Newton and they take Von Miller because he is a 3-4 OLB and they feel he can be great and get after does quarterbacks in there division. I dont think the Bengals take Newton I believe they still go AJ or julio. And that leaves Newton on the board at 5 does Carolina take him? I say yes.

Just a scenario and opinion..

Your post was terrible.

You say Clausen looks retarded, you don't want Gabbert because he has a "homo" aura, you bring up the Heisman and the NC as reasons to draft Cam, etc.

It was honestly one of the worsts posts I've read here.

Then you top it off with "Obviously I know football" which isn't true at all.

My advice? Stop posting.

I continue to believe our defense wasn't/isn't that bad, certainly not at the line, and there are alot of promising Dls in this draft so I will be very disappointent with a DL at 1.

The Panthers need to be able to score points, or at the very least, keep their defense off the field occasionaly. A QB, one would think, might help.

I like Peterson if we don't go QB, maybe rather take him than QB. Possible shutdown corner with ST as a bonus? That's a big deal.

I LOVE it!!!! Good and potential to actually happen! I like it.. I guess we'll all be back pedaling and jumping on somebody's wagon on the 28th. It's not like WE really have any choice on who we draft! It's nice to debate though, especially since that's all we got right now!

Dude this has been discussed for the last couple months. No one is going to do the pros and cons of each prospect all over again just because you are new here.

It might take awhile, but Gabbert's going to disappoint. It'll be a slow, frustrating process and you probably won't fully believe it until Tom Brady takes over and leads us to a Super Bowl. Even then you'll like him and wish him the best elsewhere.
