I do think Cam will be a great QB for the team, but I can't help but cheer for Clausen. At Jordan Gross' event Clausen went out of his way to oblige every autograph request and was really friendly. Cam on the other hand, ignored the 8 or so of us on his way out and wouldn't even look at us while his presidential escort made up of 2 cops and a bodyguard yelled at people to get out of his way.

Send Jimmy out there and turn him loose. Tell him he can throw it further than 4 yards!

Clausen was so bad otherwise intelligent people were clamoring for Armanti Edwards to play QB.

lies...

lol

-----------

in regards to this topic, I just find it hard to believe a rookie QB in the situation he was in last year is guaranteed to never improve and become at least an average QB in the league based off of last years results...

I have to agree in part with Ashor.. well, all I can say is if Clausen sticks around, everyone has a chance to look just as foolish in saying Clausen will never amount to anything..

No it's not. Of course Clausen has more time to jib-jab with the 1 or 2 fans who want his autograph and less fuss surrounding him. Think about it.

The kid has to realize how important he is to the fans as well as the team. A smile and a wave isn't too much to ask for IMO. Im not bashing him; just hoping this isn't the way he intends to treat fans in the future.

I agree, I just wouldn't take that testimonial alone as reason to believe he disregards fans. "The kid" is naturally being followed around by alot of people right now, and I would guess it's difficult to notice everyone sometimes.

Of course, maybe he's a complete dick. But he can be a complete dick who plays QB very well for the Panthers and I'll be fine with that too.

Newton's problem is that he is probably very cocky because he is a Heisman, national champion, and the top pick in the draft. Unfortunately all of that means nothing and he shouldn't feel as though he is above anyone because in reality, he is a rookie and should be treated like such.

Whoever gets the starting position is who I want to start. I do think they gave up on him to quickly though.
