Went out to Jordan Gross's kickball tournament, participants included:

Cam Newton
Jimmy Clausen
Matt Moore
Steve Smith
DeAngelo Williams
Ryan Kalil
Travelle Wharton

Armanti Edwards
Kevin Donnelly

Cam showed up in dress shoes, didn't expect to actually play but the guys talked him into it, at one point he was playing 3rd base with Clausen playing short stop and they were both wearing # 2. QCB from WFNZ was the MC and at one point when it was Cam's turn to kick QCB told him to take his shoes off and do it "kunta kinta" style, LOL

They were giving away tickets to Panthers games, etc... Gross was on the microphone as well and QCB asked him if the tickets were in Smith's luxury suite, Gross said "nah, that's all cleaned out". There were several moments when Gross had the crowd show Smitty some love and commented how we were trying to keep him in Charlotte. At one point, a lady standing right infront of me asked for a picture with Smitty and he climbed up on the fence to take it with her, after the picture she asked him what it would take for him to stay and he shook his head... could have just as easily been shaking his head like "I'm not answering that" but it was an interesting response none the less.

Anyhow, it was a great event for a great cause... the huddle should put together a team next year to compete.

Moore and Clausen also got nice rounds of applause from the crowd when they were introduced which I was happy to see.

One of the fan questions was how many Super Bowls Cam expected to win as a Panther. His response? "Lots."

I'm glad Cam didn't try kicking. I can just see it now: He's trying to make it to 2nd with those loafers on and he ends up tearing an ACL.
