maybe the Cam fanboys, other newcomers and posters generally happy with smilies (especially the new ones) should be asked to provide something to the board.

I propose that the use of smilies costs the poster reputation.

If you want to splash the board with smilies..cool. Earn them with useful posts.

Are you unhappy with smilies? :confused:

I swear, some of these suggestions make me think there are people out there that think this is more than a message board. This isn't Nazi Germany, and you should not be "punished" for using the tools that are made available to you. If you want to remove smilies altogether, then I'm sure there are those who will listen.
