Not tryna jack anyone's "SWAG" on this one... but I believe that I was the person who posted that article. Since Im not at 100 posts yet, I dont have the priviledge of starting a new thread.

Can someone explain to me what I need to do to get my SWWWAAAAG up?

Looking at porn always does it for me.

Because of the number of players you can keep on the 53 man roster. Did I really have to point that out?

Yes.

You said the only way Sutton (a reserve combo RB and FB) gets a roster spot is if TD (a starting LB) stays healthy for an entire season. Ignoring the fact that you probably can't determine if TD will be healthy for the entire season when the 53 man roster is due at the beginning of the season, if TD is indeed healthy, it likely means that an extra LB won't be carried and it will free up another spot on the 53 man roster.

If Sut was drafted by the Panthers, we wouldn't be having this discussion. But since he is a trash-heap pickup from another team, our fans fail to see his value. The man averaged 5.5 ypc last year and also chipped in 12 receptions in very limited opportunities. He plays two positions as well as special teams and he can return kicks. Combine that with the fact that all of the remaining RBs on the team have had injury issues, yet the Panthers didn't draft any new RBs, and I think it is quite clear that Sut's spot on this team isn't in jeopardy.

he has a lot of value, because he can play fb too.as well as special teams so i doubt he is not on this team next year.

I think a lot of the mid-tier guys like Sutton are sweating a little. We have no idea the offense, defense, and special teams schemes/system that Rivera and staff will run.

Trying to predict how many of any position we will keep under these circumstances woudl be nothing more that mere speculation.

Any frame of reference that we currently have was from past history under Fox Ball.

I guarantee you even if Davis is healthy to start the season, we carry 7 LBs just in case. Then if it comes down to us needing a 4th RB, we can pick up someone on the waiver wire or FA. RB is one of the most replaceable positions in the league. If Davis can't start out the season, then I see us cutting him and then maybe carrying 4 RBs.

by cutting jackson and vaughn we should be able to use those roster spots on other positions. and i highly doubt we keep a kick off guy.

Reguardless of Smith staying or being traded, Pilares is going to be his replacement. Smith was originally a return man/slot receiver. They have the same speed and body type. I hope Smith comes back and Pilares can learn from him for a couple years. And I don't think you can discount how smart this guy is. He scored the highest out of all WR's on his wonderlic right?

I like what I've read and seen of this kid.

He'll need a good nickname or I'm just gonna have to call him "KP".

Can't wait to watch this kid burn a division rival's secondary for 6 the first time.
