it was def a stupid thing to say the world was gonna end. however, i wouldn't underestimate the need to have ones life in order.

i take you are in the military. if so, salute to you. if you are an opium farmer, holla.

As a Christian, I do find it interesting that this guy thinks God operates on pacific time, the same time as his organization. 6pm there is 9 here, so I don't really get that... It really disappoints me that he would do something like this and give non-believers even more of a reason to mock our religion.

I was reading that he predicted it would happen before in 94 and it didn't and said he didn't have all the info he has now. Also, his non-profit applied for an extension for some kind of contract deadline that was originally July of this year to now Novemeber so he can continue to operate his company at a Michigan location as a NPO, if I remember correctly. Read somewhere else that a secretary at their offices said about 80% of the employees there are planning on being at work Monday. Another person said they tried to call their organization and ask them if they would sign over all of their financials to them being that they wouldn't need it according to his prediction, and no one returned the call, lol. Doesn't sound like this guy is preparing for it himself, so it's really a sad deal.

I do ask that everyone take inventory of your life, and if you don't believe, at least give it a try, what do you have to lose in being safe? John 3:16 to the fullest.

You should have been preparing since 1994 when the SAME preacher said the rapture was going to happen then! BTW he has said it three other times. Which makes me wonder what kind of "kool-aid" he is passing out at that church for his followers to be still going if he has been wrong this many times....

You're fine, all great survival stories start with all the things you have.

I understand your point, and your well-meaning post, but you can't just "try to believe" in order to be on the safe side. you either believe or you dont.

For example, I can try to believe in unicorns as hard as I possibly can, but in the end, I still dont believe in unicorns.

I think they said it's supposed to happen at 6:00p pacific time, not local time.
