"He didn't really have a reason to pull me over, so I guess we'll wait and see when they reschedule it again," Jarrett said. "I'm ready for it to be over with, and I'll just be happy when it finally is. It looks good for me."

He'll be convicted, but I doubt he will do any jail time. The guy repping him is the same guy who got Beason off from his civil trial earlier this month.

I also learned that DJ's brother is former Hornet Vernon Maxwell - lol, that explains a lot. The fruit doesn't far fall from the tree.

Figures that readers of the Observer would comment that he "never had a chance" and "never had a QB"...

It baffles me that people could say that the struggles of Dwayne Jarrett are based solely on the lack of QB play when clearly he showed no interest from the get-go in becoming an NFL receiver.

go tell Steve Smith that

2010 - Steve Smith - 14 starts - 554 yards, 2 TDs

2009 - Dwayne Jarrett - 2 starts - 196 yards - 1 TD

....after the QB play we just witnessed.....it probably wouldn't be wise to ask Steve if that matters.

Ditto.

It's pretty obvious that Jarrett just doesn't have "it".......The article states that Jarrett said a couple teams called, but claims that the DUI scared them off.

Nah, dogg, what scared them off is pretty much everything about your game. You can't catch, can't run, and can't block.

The Panthers basically handed you the job on a gold platter and yet you still sucked so bad on/off the field that you ended up with more DUIs than touchdowns.

This guy is a complete joke and I'd be willing to bet he never suits up for an NFL team again.

You want embarrassing? Both Gettis and Lafell already have better career stats than DJ.... in 1/5th the time

DJ - G: 32, REC: 35, YDS:428, TD: 1

Gettis - G: 15, REC: 37, YDS: 508, TD: 3

Lafell - G: 14, REC: 38, YDS: 468, TD: 1

Statistics can be used to manipulate almost any argument.

Jarrett career yards: 428 (4 seasons)

David Gettis career yards: 508 (1 season) -2010

Brandon LaFell career yards: 468 (1 season) -2010

Jarret sucks. Game, set, match. Anyone defending Jarrett's skills (or lack there of) is probably a member in Dwayne's family.
