Hawk

what would you do?

One day this world might be run by cats and all I can say Hawk is when you start crapping all over the place (and you will) your cat master will not think twice about putting you down.

Not an easy decission but why not call the vet and see what they say? If they say it is probably time to put her down then you have a clear conscious. I wouldn't bring up the incovenience of trying to sell the house but just that she can't keep stuff down or what does go down comes out the back end at will.

as I thought...both sides of the argument argued well. I hate cats!

she has to be suffering...she's lost a poo load of weight and is pretty much nothing but skin and bones anymore. If it was just once in a while, it would be an inconvenience, but it's always. I am not sure when the last time she ate a meal that didn't come back out, so she's barely hanging on.

So I take it this is the wife's cat?

Take her to the bathtub and let her slip down the drain. Works like a charm.

oldest daughter. She moved out and couldn't take the cat with her.

I just lost my 18 year old cat a couple weeks ago. He was in very bad shape but passed away in his sleep thankfully. Its a tough call, if it can barely walk around and can't eat it might be time to gracefully end its life. If it is still walking around by itself and throws up from time to time I'd say have a room it stays in with food and water and some form of bedding.

I can't imagine the cat isn't suffering.

The real question is, what does wifey want to do?

if my wife had it her way, this cat and my youngest daughter's cat and both my dogs would be gone forever!!!!
