Yeah I thought about that, believe me. But I just wanted to vent and talk to some people. Honestly though I'm not saying anything that's not already been said ad-nauseum to the police and isn't already in the report.

When I was in the Navy, a couple of my buddies from home sent me a package. Since I knew these guys pretty well, as soon as I got it, I threw it overboard. :)

When I got back home, I ask them what was in it. It was 8 little bottles of tequila. Glad I threw it ob.

Yo... First off... That's CRAZY... I feel kind of bad for you, okay really bad for u... Anyways, I think thus makes you the first person on the Huddle who's been charged with 4 felonies... For that alone, I'm giving you mad SWAG! As for everything else... It's times like these where u really get to see how fugged up the system really is.it may seem trivial to u now, but I'm giving u swag and pie!

Abs I think everyone should follow suit...

Well technically this makes 12 felony charges in my life, if you add in the 8 from when i was 18-19 of which I was convicted of two. However, these particularly ones I had no part in and I find myself in quite the pickle. Anyhow, I'm spent and need some sleep.

Def got set up... Why did mailman delivered weed to the wrong address if he knew drugs were in there? Probably he had no clue, otherwise he would deliver these drugs to the right address. Means someone left this package on your porch and called the cops. I wont be surprise if a lable on that package is a fake or stolen. Someone really hate you. The person that tipped off the cops is a person that set you up. If you sue them, they will have to release this information in court. Good luck.

This thread has nothing to do with whether marijuana should be legal or not. That is irrelevant to what happened here. Someone could just as easily send a box full of child pornography to his property and have him arrested for that.

You said the return address was for Oregon, was it post marked? Also I would contact an investigative reporter for your area and get this crap on the news with your side of the story. Could be beneficial to you. I hope you do get all this wiped from your record and get rewarded for your troubles.

What's so hard to understand? It's not about marijuana, it's about him getting in trouble for something illegal being on his property without him knowing about it. Saying marijuana should be legal is ignoring the bigger issue of him being framed and charged with something without there being any proof he knew about it or ordered the item.

If marijuana was legal, whoever framed him would not have sent him a box full of marijuana. Thus saying marijuana should be legal is ignoring the issue and engaging in absurd ideas.

It would be like me saying we should have a society with no laws. That's not exactly the point here.

That happens all the time, I know someone who works at usps and they report it to the police and set it up. UPS and Fedex do it too. And those lawyer fees are gonna be pretty fuggin expensive probably looking at 5-10 grand.

You're operating on the assumption that he was indeed framed. That's something incredibly hard to stand beside given the limited amount of information we have both about this situation and the OP IRL.

If he WASN'T framed, then saying "this is an example of why marijuana should be legal" could be valid, because if someone sent 3 pounds of weed and almost 2 oz of hash and marijuana was legal, we wouldn't be sitting here having this discussion.

Edit, unrelated point: But, if the police had a warrant for the package, why would the package have been allowed to leave the sorting facility it went through to get to his house?
