you didn't grow them yourself hack

I have nine fig trees in the ground.

Three Brown Turkeys

One Mission

one Celeste

one LSU Improved Celeste

one White Marseilles

one Green Ischia

one blanche

and about another dozen in pots. most will be given away.

I have one apple tree

I will be starting about 10-15 different varieties of Muscadines next spring, hopefully starting peaches, and two more fig trees.

oh BTW, dollar tree is selling 6 5hr burn emergency candles and bags of teacandles for a buck.

i dunno wat mine r but i got another month b4 they ripen

only the brown turkeys are ripening now, and they make fantastic preserves. Besides the Celeste and Mission, the rest of em are still only about 5 years old. The rust is an absolute killer here and my younger trees are not doing well.

I picked the turkeys clean and came out with just over twelve cups of figs, which made about 8 pints. check this recipe out, it is drop-dead-gorgeous good:

Yep, and they like to put eggs all over my catalpa worms. :(

So, bird feeders and bird friendly foliage to help cut down on the wasps. I also move any writing spider I find to a strategic part of the yard.

i'll pass that recipe on to the g/f. she made some sugar free fig preserves last year

she probably only got 2 pints out of our one tree though

how did you get a plastic g/f to make preserves and pick figs?

j/k

Didn't watch, but it's just wasted money like all of the people who spent thousands on Y2K bunkers. Best case scenario you end up well-stocked in basic supplies with a new "mancave".

I bought a takedown recurve for hunting. It all fits into a 2 ft. pvc cylinder I can strap to the side of my backpack. Arrows are re-usable for the most part, and silent, no need to give everyone within several miles your location. Use the bow for hunting game, save the firearms for people and hope it never comes to that.
