Maverick was a good movie.
saw it tonight pretty accurate to the Book, there were a few scenes that made me wonder if I was watching a Porno, the sex scene's IMO took away from the movie, and I don't need to keep seeing Dr. Manhattan's twigs and berries every 2 seconds, I mean it's the freaking movies you can't tell me that they couldn't have done some tricky photograph to keep me from seeing that.
lol i was like WTF? I mean they could've put some underpants on the guy so we didn't have to see blue CGI penis for 2 1/2 hours.
Not as good as the book and really looooooooong. Kinda disappointed. The director sure did have a thing for the male butt and penis. First movie Ive seen where the men parts got three times as much time as the female parts.

Part of the original comic book was that Doctor Manhattan was naked, so I mean they were just staying faithful to the book, while weird, I mean look at the guy who wrote Watchmen, Alan Moore is a weird guy. Some of the acting was pretty cheesy, and if you didn't read the novel, you'll be really confused, seeing most of it is a bunch of symbolism and imagery.

you can still give the appearance of being naked without me having to see Dr. Manhattan's family jewels every 2 seconds.

I was just desensitized to the penis from read the comic book. I mean, its just a wang! I really enjoyed the movie. It wasn't 100% faithful to the comic, but that would have been impossible. It was a good time. If you didn't read the comic, then it would have been pretty confusing, hence why it only grossed $55 million opening weekend. Its not for everyone, but I liked it and will be buying the uber edition on Blu Ray when it comes out.
I hate they cut out the whole pirate scene. That was one of my favorite parts from the novel.
i'll wait for the bootleg
it'll be on the dvd

I finally saw this movie this weekend and was incredibly impressed. Having never read the book/graphic novel, I figured it would be another batman/spiderman/superman deal, wow was I wrong. This was a great movie that had an awesome theme and underlying tone. It's movies like this that have meaning and substance that get ignored over absolute shiite movies like "there will be blood" that make me wonder about the idiocy of the people who determine what movies are good and bad. This one is absolutely worth seeing.
I saw it this weekend as well and would tell people to see it.
That wasn't you I kissed in the theater was it?
