The CEO of a company that relies on the disposable income of consumers who just built another billion dollar hotel is mad that we are in a recession and blames the President?

I'm pretty sure he was trying to say that he could do more, invest more, build more, but with the current "president" and his fuged up view that it's not something he nor many other moguls want to consider.

spin it how you want, but that was his point.

Can't. Years ago I made a concerted effort to purge everyone from my life who makes quotation hand gestures when talking.

I do hate that. Generally people don't even use them in the right context.

My get out more comment to you was meant around the web. If you visit other news sources besides Fox, CNN and the rest of them all owned by one man, you'll notice many other people in the free world feel the exact same way and use it as a form of degradation (if that's a word)

Corporations are making record profits but yeah they are totally scared. That's it. Sure.

The % of federal tax revenue paid by corporations is also at an all time low.

Private citizens are bearing more of the tax burden than they ever have in history.

Must be a great time to be a corporation. Record profits, all time low in tax contribution!

At some point they'll have enough money though and it will start to trickle down to the rest of us. Right? :smilielol5:

Perception is key in the business world. If people think the business world sucks, it sucks regardless of the underlying fundamentals. If people think Obama is a wet blanket to business, then he is a wet blanket to business.

The only candidate that knows less about business than Trump is Obama.

5:

Dont' kid yourself private citizens bear the tax burden no matter what corporate tax rates are. If corporate tax rates go up so do the prices of goods and services.

ps personaly I think they need to get rid of deductions on corporate taxes and drop the rates. Actually they need to do the same thing with taxes across the board.
