Stupid on his agents part but if he wants to help screw his client then so be it. Remember when Beason was out for a few weeks with his dumbass Rookie agent.

Back in like '97, Matt Finkes was a 6th rd. pick out of Ohio State and held out.

I'm currently holding out as an UDFA, now 15 years out of college.

Never played a down of football. I just can't see a deal getting done this year either.

In my earlier post, I used the term no-man's land on the third round based on this article from sbnation:

http://denver.sbnati...broncos-rookies

Of the early part of the 3rd round here's the way it shapes up right now (just googled the players name and "rookie contract" looking for latest news, also looked at team official websites -

Carolina - Terrell McClain - unsigned
Cincinnati - Dontay Moch - unsigned
Denver - Nate Irving - Signed - terms unknown
Buffalo - Kelvin Sheppard - unsigned
Arizona - Robert Housler - unsigned
Kansas City - Justin Houston - unsigned

Hurney did not think rookie CB Brandon Hogan (knee) passed physical. Hogan is a candidate for marshall's spot if he can get healthy.

wasted draft pick

Known fact when drafted that he would be ready til August. Kid will impress just needs to get healthy.

Rivera said in his presser that he absolutely expects the deal to be done tomorrow and for him to attend practice. He also said he knew he was in charlotte so it wouldn't take him long to get there.

...but you have to remember the new rules, holding out is expensive these days and if you don't report 30 days before the 1st regular season game you lose an accrued season.

And from what NFLN said they can sit your ass and not pay you for the year as well. Holdouts are now a thing of the past, you will lose your ass for holding out. I am glad the NFLPA felt the same as owners in that regard

Hopefully it is just both sides having trouble contacting each other, he can't be that much of an idiot and try to hold out.

Maybe he's on ATT and the call keeps dropping.

Meh, he'll sign and show up. He should realize he's really hurting his chances of starting by not signing. Fua could easily get the nod to start camp and never give it up.

As for Hogan, I don't know why everyone is so shocked he didn't pass his physical. IIRC, he wasn't expected to be healthy until late August/September.

He is Haynesworth's cousin's brother's friend-well on facebook. He wants the big money now.

If anyone saw Michael Irvin's rant on the NFL network (I seriously think our boy is back on the rock), it is a perfect illustration of how people are not getting the most basic concept of the CBA. If he wants to get to a second contract, he needs to sign the first. I suppose he wants it fully guaranteed and that would be stoopid for a third rounder.
